Why do I forget, that others are as sensitive as I ? A hasty remark said unkindly, in a moments annoyance, and thoughtlessness, later to be told about the feelings I had bruised. Hastily did I seek forgiveness for my deed. All the while aware of how sensitive, this son of mine can be. So easily his feelings are wounded and abused. Seeking forgiveness, and words that say "I'm sorry", are a graceful gift from God. I only need remember, that love is very gentle, and needs such tender care. But are we not all human, and in need of pardon too? So forgive me, Lord, my many faults, and tender this poor heart. Summers haunting melody that awakens the butterflies, calling them to join the dance in their silent song of praise to God. eL |

Dear Ellie... it is poetic and appropriate that I reply to a poem with this title... it is time for this butterfly to say good-bye for a while... my failings have caught up with me...
