This says it all! Tell me I know Haiku is
5-7-5...but what exactly is Senryu? Is it just 6-7-5? Haiku should be on nature, anything certain this should be based on?

WhtDove, I was taught that Senryu was the same format as Haiku 5-7-5 and with you bringing this up and counting and looking in the dictionary I now see that I goofed with the word lion.It has two syllables and not one as I was thinking. So please, please pardon my error. And that yes Haiku was for nature and that Senryu was on feelings, emotions and that sort of thing. And thank you for as always your kind words.
