My eyes were made to reap with joy magnolia’s snowy bloom My sense of smell to taste the sweet of rose’s soft perfume My ears were made to hear the raindrops tiptoe through the night My hands were made to touch the dogwood petal milky white My eyes were meant to spot a cardinal’s red in revelry My ears to hear the flutter of wings from out the holly tree My mouth to whisper words of praise that all this beauty lies In great abundance all around me under azure skies My eyes were meant to see the truth within the depths of yours My ears were meant to hear a distant cry I’ve heard before My heart was made to harbor compassion’s precious seed My hands were meant to reach to others in their hour of need My feet are meant to leave a path that I have tread on earth My heart contains the treasures that are of greatest worth My soul is meant to lead the mind on paths it knows is right My eyes were meant to see the beauty in your eyes tonight Elizabeth Santos |

Liz, I don't know what to say of your poetry. I find my words most redundant when I reply. Your subject matters are always different, with much thought, and well put together. Always leaving one with something to think about.
