I saw You out in the yard Lord,
As I went outside to mow,
Birds were softly singing,
While the squirrels put on quite a show.
The grass was all a shimmer,
With an early morning dew,
As I looked around at the beauty,
That's when I saw You.
In the blossoms of every flower,
In the bluebirds delicate song,
In the glistening web of a spider,
In the heat of the day growing strong.
I saw You in the drifting clouds,
I felt You in the breeze,
I saw You standing sturdy,
In the guise of those old oak trees.
Yes, You were out in the yard Lord,
I saw You everywhere,
And oh what a glorious feeling,
To know that You'll always be there.

This is right up my ally as I love to go out early in the morning and contemplate all the natural beauty in thankfulness. Funny how we work so hard to decorate, clean and beautify the rooms in our homes, yet always marvel at God's wonders in outdoor nature.  Guess it kind of says something about our great efforts compared to His everyday gifts.  Thanks for this beauty.

Bonnie,
I love reading your poetry. Your love for the Lord is ovious in all that you write, in all that is around you and in how you communicate with others. This poem is superb!
Absolutely lovely.

Bonnie...what wondrous pictures you paint with your words.   He is all around, and can be seen, felt and smelled as you say.  I think I heard the lawn mower this morning!  Linda

Dearest Bonnie; I love how you see the spiritual beauty in everthing and everywhere.
You are truly a magical poet with the wonder
and joy of a childs heart. I'm so happy that you are a part of my life! Love, ellie

Bonnie,
this is just wonderful.  To perceive God in the beauties and wonders of His creation--But also look within your self to see God, for you have been fearfully and wonderfully made.  God bless you dear friend as you actively practice the presence of God in your life.   David

Bonnie I love mowing the lawn!
There's something about the top of the trees as the sun streams through, that just fills me with warmth and admiration of our Lord!

Your heart is a beautiful one! You do seem to see Him in everything that surrounds you. I'm so glad that you share that with us!
