As the caterpillar is bound, tightly in it's cocoon, so it is necessary, that a soul be bound in pain. Seen or unseen, physical or emotional, pain comes to every soul. It is only when acceptance comes, the struggle for freedom put aside, and the soul becomes still, and embraces such that it is given. For only acceptance brings change, growth freedom Setting free God's Love in the soul. As the butterfly is a glorious symbol of freedom, so the soul that has endured through faith, becomes free to love and unfold it's wings to embrace another. Summers haunting melody that awakens the butterflies, calling them to join the dance in their silent song of praise to God. eL |

Sister Ellie, This is So beautiful and So wise! You say so much here, It is only when acceptance comes, the struggle for freedom put aside, and the soul becomes still These are words of one who has overcome adversity, may God continue to bless you my Sister. What a mountain of truth you reveal in this piece! It's often hard to accept that God has purpose for our suffering when we're in the midst of it, except to think we're being punished for something which isn't the case in many instances. Oh to have the insight and faith of Lot...loving God unconditionally! Thank you for sharing this. |

I love this one...pain is another emotional that we all feel, most of us are certainly not capable of accepting it....A wise woman once told me that when I am feeling pain to offer up the prayer "Thy Will be Done"... You can never have too much fiction; reality can be such a bore |

I agree with all the previous responses , and am glad to be back(after many computer problems) to be able to enjoy it like the other. Truly within your boosom is a wisdom and faith which comes out beautifully in your poems, David "GOD GIVES- but man must open his hand." (German Proverb) |

How you can take something this deep and make it flow so simply in this poem amazes me... The thought of God's Love being set free in my soul just gives me butterflies... Bob <>< |

How very true! As a member of a self help group for families, accepting was the hardest thing I had to do. After resisting with all the strength I had, acceptance came and with it a new life for me. Thank you for sharing. |
