Bring Not The Crown ... ~Marge Tindal~ 1999 The star came beckoning those from afar ... Come see the babe who's born ! See him in the stable bare, wrapped in swaddling clothes. Watch the love in his mother's eyes as the cattle sing him to sleep. Come one, come all to the tiny place called Bethlehem. Come see what God has given to save you from your sins. Come with gifts this babe to adorn. Bring not the crown, laden with thorns. Bring your praise, your voices sweet, this is the babe with nails in his feet. This is the babe whose love will teach. A world of sinners, he will reach. Look into the eyes of this babe born to man ... then look at what he gave, look if you can. Fall to your knees , sing this babe a soft lullaby. Thank you, baby Jesus, for all you've given for me. This babe born to set you free, this babe who loves you so. Give thanks to the babe, and his Father on high. This babe, this babe, born to set you free. Oh, what joy is ours today, because he loved us so.
