Could Be Anywhere...

Choose

Boredom. Rejection. Betrayal.  Despair.

birth, school, work, death.

Joy.  Happiness.  Exhilaration.  Ecstasy.

sin, rebirth, grace, eternal life.

...“I have set before you life and death,

blessing and cursing:

therefore

choose life,”...

Duet. 30:19

bleeding...

"Tis ink coming
from his arm,
Captain!"

Dan, the simplicity of this poem adds to its beauty. Free will, the choice is ours,  to choose "life and have it more abundantly";  Most excellent!

"...“I have set before you life and death,
blessing and cursing:
therefore
choose life,”..."

Duet. 30:19

Perfect simplicity! "I want to live, Lord",
Is all He needs to hear and His Love and Grace will do the rest! Thank you, Ellie

Summers haunting melody
that awakens
the butterflies,
calling them to join
the dance
in their silent song
of praise to God.

Being such a wordy person, I most appreciate your style.  Sorry your soulmate is ill.  I've just sent up a prayer for you both.
