On Sunday mornings there are rituals that I go about and perform… giving thanks stays forefront, it has become the norm. I pad around my little home winding old clocks and such thankful that the ticking of time brings a warm, delightful touch. Not without the symbolism, as each second counts down, do I look up and thank you Lord, and smile instead of frown. Sunny ~~~Keep your face to the sunshine and you cannot see the shadow. Helen Keller ~~~ When you want to be loved, look within...KRJ |

Ah, this is so lovely and serene. I love the ticking of a clock,it's such a soothing sound and your gratitude is the best sound in His ears. Ellie Summers haunting melody that awakens the butterflies, calling them to join the dance in their silent song of praise to God. ellie LeJeune |

BSC, Ellie, thank you. This little piece was the "guts" of a longer piece...but the longer piece sounded 'preachy' so to speak...sometims, shorter is better! Thanks again... Sunshine , Your Sunday morning ritual is amusing and significant--A good way to Remind us of the God of all time- and to count our blessings for each moment of our lives. Thank you for sharing this with us, David |

Avery cozy poem. I do this quite often myself, only not necessarily on Sundays, but more often when I am waiting for the bus or while I am riding the bus from point A to point B and back again. I thank God for my health, as limited as it is and so on, and for the little things we take for granted. It's the little things that make life grand. Without the ticking of the time, where would we be. Great poem. Sheri. |
