A Passing Friend Peace on Earth, good will toward men, Extend a hand to greet a friend, Till time doth part the Heavens and sea, On waves about, you'll float with thee. A benevolent sign of angels above, The cooing sound of a sighing dove, Upon branch of olive, below the moon, Mournfully it sings its tune. Upon high quotes your soul its due, The angels hark a song from you, Sung of deed and merit won, Of the King, of the Son. The twinkle of a star above, A messenger of light and love, Peace on Earth, good will toward men, Until my friend, we meet again. You're right, Sunshine. Alot of my previous poetry which I posted throughout Passions was either dark, sad, or a mixture of emotions. Typical teen syndrome, I think ![]() This one I wrote recently. I'm glad you enjoyed it! ^_^ Amanda "Come what come may, time and the hour runs through the roughest day." A line from Macbeth, by William Shakespear |

This is a beautiful poem, Amanda. I'm glad that you and your poetry have gotten a little happier! "We are all in the gutter, but some of us are looking at the stars." -Oscar Wilde "The robbed that smiles steals something from the thief" -Shakespea |

Thank you for this beautifully written poem of hope. Look in Luke 2:13,14; This is the same praise the angels sung to the shepherds abiding in the field when Jesus was born. Great message! |

Lady S, The advent of the divine as He enters our lives, and even our poetry is as the angels sang --Peace on earth, goodwill to men-- A wonderfully uplifting piece here. David |
