In my heart you will stay, Forever and always. But, when it begins to break and bleed, You must be there to mend it. I sit and cry, Praying no one comes home To witness the amount of pain you caused. The tears course down my cheeks. They splash into my hand, I clutch them, As if they could burn into my soul. If only one tear could bring us back together. I have lost you, The power of love cannot help us now. You cannot even look into my face. Your guilt overrides all other emotions. If only you would listen to my words, I have long but forgiven you, Love is all I feel. There is only one lifetime, Come back... before it is over. |
