we started on fire almost instantly heat and pleasure one in the same but is it our fate to die the same no more than a glowing ember in a child's hand at the end of the 4th circling round and round naught after all the glory but a dying spark in the night? or shall we, hand in hand pass on by the celebration of independence, and find in each other sparklers someone else laid aside, maybe not free for the taking but certainly offered at a price far lower than the worth of the joy contained within? shall we search for the joy so needed, so deserved and laugh and dance and light fires long into the night burning two at a time until its almost Christmas and the spark still burns brightly as the new year turns? ------------------ ©1999 Iloveit [This message has been edited by Iloveit (edited 11-23-1999).] |
