The Yankee clipper he was called
Perhaps the greatest of them all-
And sportsmanship? He wrote the book-
His character no critics brooks-
A golden glove adorns the wall
Dimag' the greatest of them all-
The world will no more see the like
Gazelle like grace, and flashing spikes
And as he swung his mighty bat-
Joe Jackson never swung like that
In every field he was at home
And e'en with Cobb, he holds his own
Beneath the lights beyond the blue
The game goes on; Joe..here's to you.
