It feels so nice to see you smile
I thought your frown would last a while
It feels so nice to hear you laugh
Since all I’ve done is make you sad

It feels so nice to hold you near
And have those feelings reappear
It feels so nice to pet your hair
To caress your cheek, to kiss you there

It feels so nice to hold your hand
And to escape to another land
A land that seems so far away
That only time could bring back my way

My friend, my love, you are to me
Today, tomorrow and forever you will be
