(This was orginally posted as a reply to a poem by Seymore entitled "Candelabra", but I was asked to post it alone...so here it is with my appologies to Seymore) The Forgotten Candelabra Wherein the candelabra rests Once bright, now marred by rust The door shut tight, the room sealed up Left to gather dust The candles long have been put out The dreams have faded too Where once we danced are memories Left of me and you The ghosts of us, they haunt the room Where time and space reside And though I stand outside the door My heart was left inside ------------------ Alis volat propriis (She flies with her own wings) |
