One of the Thanksgiving Ditties... Now I know I’m not the first, and I know I’m not the last to say “God Bless You” when we break our fast and come this Thursday, see our blessings from heaven sent and with the bird, or other repast, our day will soon be spent. But I’ll give Thanks silently for all the many things that have come around this year, making my heart sing... like having healthy children, and the lasting of our old-timers and getting to know all of you, the great and mighty rhymers. I can see it now this week, all the rhyming, tongue in cheek while we hear about the “bird” from some other beaks and I’m settling in for some uproarious laughing as I speak for after talk of the “bird”, then a Christmas mouse will squeek.
