Okay, a friend (Mandie in this poem) insisted I write a poem about shoes, and so, this is what I came up with...  There once was a silly girl I knew, Who had quite an obsession with shoes! Tennis, sparkled, chunk heels alike, Even shoes that said "Gooo Vikes!" Red, yellow, shades of purple too, My lord, her closet was such a zoo! On no occasion will her feet be bare, Because, oh my gosh, she has 56 pairs! Once I asked her, "Mandie, why?", And she responded with a sigh. "Well, Krista, the answer is plain, Shoes are what keep this girl sane!" The years went by and the shoes increased, Jeez, will the pile of shoes ever cease? By the very ripe old age of twenty four, Her shoes reached from ceiling to floor! The saddest part, I regret to say, Is that Mandie went missing on that day.
