A butterfly is my soul Words like birds in essence fly. Whispering breaths that I sigh. Racing through the never rue. A never ever wall to through. In image that your heart would trace. In image that would fill the space. In image of the poets dream. In image of that soul I mean. A place much like the Ibsen tell A place were lovers do so well. A place within another world, A place that yet to be unfurled. The essence of a lonely drift. The essence of a lonely lift. The half life of a spasm. Crossing over the chasm. Whom has not dreamt this way, In momentary castaway? Searching for gossamer things Riding winds on gossamer wings? I fly once more in search a door, To seek the true of truth once more. Trying things my mind would goal, Using the wings of my soul. |

Sy, The truth now looks you in the eye In dappled wing of butterfly And though you look, you may not see But when you see, then tell to me Beautiful poetry, as usual Elizabeth |

The reading of a document, Is not the all of what it meant. Between the lines live little things, That toll the bell the psyche rings. And when I find that little door, I will lead you through the core. |

On gossamer your soul soars high As gentle as a butterfly Adrift upon the springtime breeze Wings flutter with such graceful ease In meadow fair o'er hill and glen You drift aloft and bless again With ev'ry word from your pen wrought Those walls it seems have only taught A little higher, friend, to fly There is no limit to the sky To any door you hold the key To open it poetic'ly Across the chasm wide you sail Portraying truth - you never fail On gossamer soar ever high As gentle as that butterfly. Another great poem Seymour! You keep writing, I'll keep reading! ------------------ Denise |

WOW! DENISE! What a beautiful tribute! You and Sy are on a whole different poetic plane, which only our spirits can endeavor, but not our pens. Elizabeth |

Oh Sy, I sigh when I feel your pen in my heart the scratching of you, Sir Poet tears my words apart... and denise, the rhythm and the rhyme leave me gasping one more time for I see both sides, wide and true for I have poets in both of you. Complementary are both worlds living side by side now make room for the rest of us so that we may join in the ride. ------------------ Sunshine Look, then, into thine heart, and write ~~~ Henry Wadsworth Longfellow |

Candelabra Where once brigades of light did light, The darkest times of darkest night, Teardrop candles, remain abreast, In dust, the candelabra rest. Where light and music made a ball And phantoms danced upon the wall, And where whispers behind a fan, Gave mention of a courtesan. Where dreams gave birth to fantasy, Desires to sensibility, A world of boldness, care and dare, A time of time beyond compare. In dust, the candelabras rest, Each teardropped candle, cold abreast. Time's once sweet morrow, dried e'er more: I rise in sorrow, close the door. |

Faced once more with poem of ball And phantom distant candle call And faced with poet's curious rhyme Of unknown words between the line Then other poets try too hard To read between the dancer's line And silhuettes upon the wall Are too unclear the mind to call A candalabra on the floor Could mean a ball for nevermore Could mean a myriad of things Of nevermore and never things But too confused this poet's mind Interpretation's view to find Must be explained on tablet clear Each line defined for poets ear In written verse or written prose The writing writ must so disclose The anwers to, the meaning of A beautious poem of former love For I who love good poetry Must understand the words I see And will not sleep another night Until I see the poem's light So please I beg you write a rhyme But not between, just on the line And post it on a tablet lit That I may light the tablet writ Now I who write between the line Meandering verse and curious rhyme Expect the other poet's mind Unwritten words to seek and find Elizabeth |
