Water so cool, blue and green Surreal, swirling so swift Floating along an ocean dream Three girls that live just for this Adrift on the tide, out to sea A strong set of waves roll in Building, gaining velocity Three girls shrieking in harmony They turn to swim quickly away But the currents are too strong Glint of sun on waves at play No choice but to ride along They all catch the smallest one Crashing over the curling crest White water plunging three feet down They tumble under and over When they finally come up for air Heads of long hair in tangles They screech with glee, not a care And head right back into danger No matter that their swimsuits will slip Tops sliding around to their backs Sand in their hair, they casually flip In case the boys are watching Three sea nymphs playing at sea Giggling, young and pretty They have no responsibilities This is what life is, they are hoping. This poem reminds me of my youth.... A tropical secluded beach So we all went undressin' But all got stung by Man O'War And learned a stinging lesson! This was a fun poem! Elizabeth |

Yep, this was me and my two sisters! (brother digging in the sand next to Mommy looking on!) So many wonderful days spent at the beach! Thanks for the memories, Corinne! ------------------ Denise |
