Eyes Eyes of experience look back at me, From the face in the mirror that I see. Eyes of blue touched with gold. Eyes that twinkle, and sometimes glow. Eyes that are young and gay. Eyes that are sad and old. Eyes filled with passion. Eyes that can be cold. Eyes that have seen many golden sunsets. Eyes that have seen and known, The beauty of many sunrises at days dawn. Soft eyes that say I love you. Warm eyes that say I'm sorry, I was wrong. Eyes that have shed many tears. Eyes that have an inner strength, That says hang on. Eyes that will grow dim, As the years pass on, Eyes that will close in death, When this life is done. Eyes I'm told " are the mirror to ones soul". But eyes can hold secrets, Never to be told. |

This is nice...I like it, a lot. It's very...I guess deep is the word I'm looking for. ~Lyndz |

Lynzd, I'm glad you have found what I am trying to do with my poems. I try and find the inner me when I write. Thank you for the compliment. |

I like this. Betty. Lovely But I think eyes can tell secrets. The only problem is you have to be paying attention or you miss it! ------------------ Yesterday is history, tomorrow just a mystery. And if today is good to me how could I ask for more? |
