I wish I could have been there, When it finally dawned on you- This time I really meant it, When I said that we were through. The last time was the last time- You’d ever see me cry- I wish I could have been there- When you read the line, “Goodbye”! I wish I could have been there- When you came through the front door, To see the scattered pictures- Lying there upon the floor. I wish I could have seen your face- When you walked into the den- And found my rigging missing From the nail where it had been. The same expression on your face- I saw there long ago- The day you made me take my pick- ‘Twixt you, or rodeo. I wish I could have been there- I think? but then again- At least against a two ton bull- I have a chance to WIN! |

Woo-Hoo! Pull it a little tighter this ride, the odds are in your favor! ------------------ Let my words fall first upon deaf ears before a closed mind... |
