Soon Do not grieve for me my sweet, Stay safe and warm your abode. Taste the good and bittersweet, Soon I take the homeward road. I will see you in the spring, When cherry blossoms line the path. Wrapping us in beauties cling And radiance of the aftermath. Let your mind a moment play O'er these written words I write, And they will warm you in a way, That only words of love can light It's what I do to keep me sane, To help me wait the morrow. I often dream where we have lain, To lift the weight of sorrow. Soon my arms will form an arc, Caressing you with finger tips Peel away the lonely dark, Kiss the solid of your lips. I can not wait the coming goal, To hold the other half my soul. |

Seymour, I deliberately look for the poems you post. They are so lovely, as is this one. ------------------ Yesterday is history, tomorrow just a mystery. And if today is good to me how could I ask for more? |

This is one of the most beautiful pieces I've ever read, Sy, from anyone. I was touched deep inside with this one. Michael |

Words fail me here - just...just...gorgeous, moving, tender. OK - not a complete failure. Tears rose - that probably says enough! |

I am in awe, but not surprised: I am bewitched, but not taken unaware: I am enraptured, but always expect to be - by your poetry. But this time, this time- I am stunned! Elizabeth |

Severn, Forgive me for not getting back sooner. Your wonderful praise made me blush. Thank you so much. *L* Marge, And you touched mine with your answer. Elizabeth, Thank You My words have flown the abyss of time, On the fragile wings of rhythmic rhyme. And the timeless words have come to rest, On the warmth of your acceptance nest. The nectar of your youth and flower, Sets fire, bygone youthful power. And here I sigh, "a rhythmic mentor," The abyss too great, this old centaur. I have fallen in love with your mind. Hoot, Thank you for the sweet words. Denise' You always warm my heart, thank you. Skyfyre, Thank you much for your breathtaking. |

Well, given my week, and being away for some 36 hours, and coming back to this at the top of the heap... all I can say is, I think I will copy this off, and have it read at my memorial... for this says it all... to love, and be loved, for all time. Thank you, Sy! ------------------ Sunshine Look, then, into thine heart, and write ~~~ Henry Wadsworth Longfellow |

Well Sy - this seems to have struck a chord with all at netpoets! So I'll put it right back up there for you so it can catch some more hearts unawares! (And blushing is quite unnecessary... ) |
