Who are we to say Who goes and who will stay? For whom does the bell toll? For what unlucky soul? The day started kind Gentle to my mind But now I feel the strain Of someone else's pain. A mother without son By the dawnings done The Master cries in pain As another one is slain. Who are we to say Who goes and who will stay? Thank God it wasn't you For whom the bell rang true. ------------------ Once I was brilliant, now I no longer shine, but the twinkle in my eye speaks of another time. |

RS, sonographers also weep! ------------------ Yesterday is history, tomorrow just a mystery. And if today is good to me how could I ask for more? |

Very powerful piece RS. I knw this feeling well. I have had two close friends loose babies. Mother Lament is posted in Teen at the moment...if you would like to take a look. Along the same lines as this piece. |

Were that bell merely a call to recess (not a flip remark). Well spoken RSE. Thanks for looking in on my own as well. |
