This is a poem about nothing,
couldn't find a subject to write,
so if you are a time-waster
then continue from left to right.

It's easy to write a poem about something,
you merely convey your impression,
but elaborating on nothing
it's hard to give next to expression.

On scribing a poem of this type
I'm sure I could never do worse
for here you have a rhyme without reason
which might well be entitled "Blank Verse".

Your little 'blank-do-nothing-verse'
filled the page with the worse
thoughts to my mind
of another time
when I had
nothing
except
time
and
me

~Nice~

I had to check this out to make sure you hadn't stolen this from me. Cuz most of my poems are about nothing!...(But not nearly as good as this one!)

This ain't a rhyme without reason
The reason is simply the rhyme
But the rhyme don't tell us nothin'
Except that you know to keep time

But I can't say it ain't worth readin'
Though the subject is nothin' to note
There ain't no such thing as a poem about nothin'
'Cause nothin' is somethin' you wrote!

So it's really a poem about somethin'
And that somethin' is nothin' at all
So let's call it a poem about somethin'
Or nothin' will come of it all

Even when I have something to say, the words often escape me... so I envy those of you who can write through writer's block! *G* Well done!
