A Poem About Nothing |

This is a poem about nothing, couldn't find a subject to write, so if you are a time-waster then continue from left to right. It's easy to write a poem about something, you merely convey your impression, but elaborating on nothing it's hard to give next to expression. On scribing a poem of this type I'm sure I could never do worse for here you have a rhyme without reason which might well be entitled "Blank Verse". ------------------ ~*~ Time erases and rewrites all the lines. Your little 'blank-do-nothing-verse' filled the page with the worse thoughts to my mind of another time when I had nothing except time and me ~Nice~ ------------------ ~*The pen of the poet never runs out of ink, as long as we breathe.*~ [email protected] [This message has been edited by Marge Tindal (edited 11-17-1999).] |

This ain't a rhyme without reason The reason is simply the rhyme But the rhyme don't tell us nothin' Except that you know to keep time But I can't say it ain't worth readin' Though the subject is nothin' to note There ain't no such thing as a poem about nothin' 'Cause nothin' is somethin' you wrote! So it's really a poem about somethin' And that somethin' is nothin' at all So let's call it a poem about somethin' Or nothin' will come of it all Elizabeth |

Even when I have something to say, the words often escape me... so I envy those of you who can write through writer's block! *G* Well done! |
