Alone, an Awful Place Alone....an awful place to be- Like barren islands in the sea- No vestige there of love or life- Where winds of sorrow like a knife... Do carve away the sentiment- Too late you wonder where it went- And tears upon a face of stone- Thus bleeds the heart which dwells alone. Alone...the moon a sentinel- To oversee where lovers dwell, Does gaze in sorrow from his home, At couples as he dwells alone. And as he orbits, above me- We share a forlorn misery- He'll still be here when I am gone- To occupy some grave...alone. |

Very good verse, but I do not entirely agree with thew sentiment of it. Alone can be a wondrous state of being. ------------------ Now and forever, my heart hears ~one voice~. DreamEvil© |

This was good. As I read it a few times, I exchanged "sentiment" with "sediment", and you know what? That works, too! Enjoy your work a lot. |
