What She CAN Do [Dedicated to Pepper] ‘Twas a fluke when she wrote a joke about good ol’ ‘Deer and bugs. ‘Twasn’t a fluke, though, when she found Passions, and gave out Hugs. “To all the fine people and poets here” She then confesses, her eye casts a tear, “to your heartfelt and warm entreaties to write another poem, but please… “Let me do what I do best, and put me not hither to your test of whether I can write or not for my “gift of read” is all I’ve got. “That I may praise you, and what you’ve done, when you render joy under this old sun, and when you impart tragedy, then heart’s content, my, you all leave me eloquently spent. “So please, entreat me no more, but let me open Passions door and read you all to my heart’s delight and take me well into your night.” So to our Pepper, whom to our lives has given spice, may we find more like you, who are ever so nice! Enjoy your treasure, your “gift of read” and may the poets here tender all you need. ------------------ Sunshine Look, then, into thine heart, and write ~~~ Henry Wadsworth Longfellow |

Writers without readers wouldn't be a pretty sight. You're the reason why we stay up writing half the night. With your participation and the kindnesses you do You make it so enjoyable to write good things for you. Here's to you, sweet Pepper. May your eyesight never fail. If it does, I'll be there with a monitor in Braille! We will keep on writing things from sundown until dawn And you, my friend, be here with us. In other words, READ ON! |
