Mom's Are Like That ... Yeah, They Are ~Marge Tindal~ 1999 From the moment we come into this world, we are given into the loving care of our mothers. They love, they give, they forgive. They lead us, they hold us, they scold us. They pull us, they push us, they lift us to new heights. They nurture, they nurse our needs, they kiss boo-boos away. They guide and gently they release our hand to stand alone. They follow with their hearts ... no matter where we go. They smile when we succeed and cry with us when we do not. They are always there. They get older as we get bolder. They prepare us to meet the world. They retreat to watch us with pride. They return when we need them most. They support us when others give up on us ... or when we give up on ourselves. They get older ... the older we get. They now need us to care for them ... as they cared for us. They were once the parent ... now they've become the child. We love her ... we hold her ... we fill her heart with our love. She can no longer wipe our tears away. She laughs, she cries ... and then she says goodbye. And in her leaving ... she teaches us again. Fear not the tears that fall ... they dilute your sorrow. And she smiles in knowing that we have learned our lesson. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - *It is very often sad that the quantity of life goes on long after the quality of life is gone. Wish I could share your load......the only comfort I can offer comes from one who cries many tears because my mother is no longer here. *Severn ... hope you find some comfort in this. God be with you and your mother. ~Marge~ ------------------ ~*The pen of the poet never runs out of ink, as long as we breathe.*~ [email protected] [This message has been edited by Marge Tindal (edited 11-14-1999).] |

Beautiful Marge...what a fine new friend you are to us here. I know Severn will feel the comfort you send. Thank you. ------------------ "Tread softly, for I have spread my dreams under your feet"~~William Butler Yeats |

Caroline, thank you. It's so comfortable here. I feel like I've found an extended family. My heart overflows with the generosity of the members welcome to me. And I do believe Severn will find some comfort from one who has ~walked-the-fire~ before and knows the pain as it is burned into us. ------------------ ~*The pen of the poet never runs out of ink, as long as we breathe.*~ [email protected] |

Thanks Balladeer and UK Hero ... and a tear is but a reminder of our joy or our loss ... and most often ... both are intermingled. ------------------ ~*The pen of the poet never runs out of ink, as long as we breathe.*~ [email protected] |

Marge: Well done... and for the life of me, I can't remember the ad that ended "Mothers are like that, yeah, they are"... but I can see the kid nodding? LOL. |

Well, I was apparently having a 'senior moment' there...I remember the commercial...it was Bayer Aspirin. Thanks, Suthern. ------------------ ~*The pen of the poet never runs out of ink, as long as we breathe.*~ [email protected] |
