Open up the Door Please open up the door A wee bit wider, if you please Looks like winter's comin' It's kickin' up a breeze Please step right in, take off your coat Let me shake your hand It's gettin' nasty, so I heard So said the weatherman You're just in time for supper Pull up another chair We're usin' paper plates tonight It saves some wear and tear But help yourself, just dig right in There's plenty more to spare You look a little weary, son You look a little worn And your pants could use some mendin' They look a little torn I don't know where you're comin' from I don't know where you're goin' I don't know what caused your heart To think it had to roam I really don't know who you are But welcome to my home Elizabeth Santos |
