I see the tears in your eyes,
as your arms stretch so wide.
Yet I can no longer be there,
I can't lick your wounds-
for mine are raw as well.
I'd die to dry your face,
of all the painful drops,
I'd heal you if I could.

Yet I can't remain under foot,
don't you see?
The only one wrong here is me,
I need some space to breathe?
It was three years of wonder-
of love and of learning,
but I'd hurt more by staying,
than ending this gracefully.

We can't stay as friends,
I've already been your lover,
your soulmate- your family...

I hope you find someone-
to love you as I've done,
someone to teach you more-
than hurtfullness in love.

Please forgive me-
I know not how to right this,
we've grown together,
and now we have grown apart.

When I find myself one day,
I hope and pray for God's fate,
that you won't be able to hate me,
that you'll still be in love-
in love with the love that was shared.
