“Don’t Mess With Texas” Is how the sign does read- The sentiment is then enforced By a hard and dangerous breed. A star within a circle- Is the symbol of our call- And in the State of Texas We represent the Law. You say you have one riot? One Ranger’s all you need... We’ll only warn you once, hoss The smarter men take heed! A star within a circle- The symbol still stands tall- And in the State of Texas We represent the Law! We have a lengthy history- Of bringing in our man... There’s not a lot of people left Who care to call our hand. Jack Hayes, and “Big Foot” Wallace “Lone Wolf” Gonsales, too- Were men cut from a larger cloth To give each man his due- It makes no difference what you’re called No difference who you are- It marks you as a breed apart- To wear that Circled star. A star within a circle- Is the symbol of our call- A chosen band of brothers- Our number it is small- And yet our reputation- Is the best you ever saw, And in the State of Texas We represent the Law. |

Wow I'd be afraid to step outside your circle! I liked this. It carries such great rhythm (and maybe just a touch of arrogance). Thanks, pawdner! |

Wouldn't want to cross your path, Gunslinger... Elizabeth Nail to the mast her holy flag, Set every threadbare sail- And give her to the god of storms, The lightning and the gale! -Oliver Wendell Holmes |
