The Night Before Christmas (Passion's Style)

‘Twas the night before Christmas and I got to thinkin'
(First holiday in years I wasn't wastin' away, drinkin').
As I drew a quick smile wondering the reason
So much joy had found me this Christmas season.

Then I thought of all the friends I'd grown to love,
Like Seymour, Sally, Isis, and White Dove.
And I couldn't help but remember my trip to D.C.
James, Doreen, Nan, Lost Dreamer and me.
(One of my most treasured memories).

Suddenly it became so easy to see,
I was happy because I finally had a family.
People I've found of genuine concern,
Pepper, Rainbow Girl, Hoot Owl, and Severn.

Even a few who just like me are "NUTZ".
Walt and FreeByrd, no if's and's or buts!
Still nothing has made me laugh harder this year,
Than Toe Rag, Long John, and Balladeer.

And nothing's ever broke my heart in two,
Like Izzy and Eric, may God bless both of you.
Denise and Echo, you strengthen me spiritually.
Lucie, you always have been there for me.

Many old friends and many a new face
Have brought memories time will never erase.
Alicat, Fairy Colours, Elizabeth, Kess,
Starboards, Marge, Deep Blue Me, and Temptress.

I've been touched by Marilyn, Alwye, Caroline,
But few could touch my heart like Poet DeVine...
Through a darkside not many would understand,
Except for you, Scott, we share the same brand.

Christopher I have found in you
A brother and friend, never one more true.
Gennifer I can only offer you my life,
I'm already yours, I love you as my wife.

I wish a Merry Christmas to everyone of you.
You're all a part of me and there's many more too.
The list it seems, could go on and on,
How could I ever repay such a precious gift, Ron?

Michael

Even with all my charm, good looks, promises of mad passionate love making, my great personality, my masterful ways with poetry etc.,....she just laughed too?.....Besides, she asked if I had a boat?.....Just goes to show ya...not even someone like me can have everything!! Oh well, she did promise to name yall's first kid Toerag though.....LOL....

Michael, You are most truely blest, as so are we for knowing you. You give from your soul every emotional thought. You breath inspiration on every level of your poetry. Your a gift sent from heaven for all of here. May this Christmas bring you all the joy and happiness you deserve. May you meet your love in person and forever hold her dear. Follow the path that has been set for you and never look back my friend.

Michael...You have given us so much, how could we not return the gift? You showed me kindness and compassion when I was a green horn at this sight. You have given us love and support in your words as well as a glimpse into places I have never been. My you and yours be blest in the new year as you have been in the past one. I wish love, happiness and prosparity to you this season and always.

God Bless you.

Michael, this is just perfect...this says it all - thank God for Ron! I can't imagine life without this family I have found, and you are a big part of that. Your poetry has touched me, through its many different styles and topics.
The fact that you were there unquestioningly for your newfound brother at a certain time this year has made you exemplary in my eyes.
You are a person of true loving spirit, and gentle heart - and both your family and Gen are very lucky - as are we.

Thankyou for counting me as part of your family - have a big Severny hug and smile

I think you forgot someone? I think you forgot me.
But some how I still think this is funny.
Although I think this poem came from a dummy.

LOL

Mikey, My son, I didn't forget you.
You were a joy in my life before Passions I knew.
You still are, though I might remind you dear boy,
It's not to late to get a refund on your Christmas toys.
So straighten up and fly right, little Chummy,
And next time, remember who you're calling dummy!   LOL

Merry Christmas, everyone - from Michael & Mikey.

As Sharon noted when she emailed this to me (thanks for the heads up, Dear!), it does indeed epitomize what this place is all about.

But that shouldn't come as any surprise. Because your openness, warmth and talent have for the past year epitomized all I most enjoy about poetry and people, Michael. Thank you for being you, my friend.

And, of course, Merry Christmas!

Thank you,  Toe, wishing you the happiest of holidays, too.

Ron, Thank you for allowing me to be me.  I am honored to have you call me friend.

James, you're one of a kind, yourself, I hope you never change.

Severn, you are one of the most genuine people I've ever met, and gifted in your art.  Bless you.

Lynn, I don't know you to well but I wish you the Merriest Christmas.

Christopher, the feelings are 100% mutual.  Wishing you all the happiness in the world.

Pepper, Marilyn, I am so pleased to see you two have become such a big part of Passions.
Thank you for your kind words.

Lost Dreamer, you have a heart of gold.  I thank you for all your words of encouragement when I was down.  You have always been a smile on my face.

PdV, if it weren't for you I wouldn't be here right now.  I can never say thank you enough.

Merry Christmas, God bless you all.

Michael my friend.  It is I who should thankyou.  You looked after me when I first came to Passions, showed me the way.  You were my light then my friend.  Then when I became a moderator and found I was to share Dark Forum with you I couldn't have asked for anyone else.  It was right and fitting for me you know?
You are a light here in Passions my friend, for us all.  I thankyou for that and your friendship and understand.  (((HUGS))) and the Merriest of Christmas's for you and yours.

Reach inside your heart, that is the greatest gift you can bestow. Merry Christmas..

Michael I really don't know what to say. But watch I'll write a paragraph here. It touches me deeply to know that I have touched others in a way that I could be called friend.  I just do what I do and be me, and I guess I never really think about it.  I'm very glad we have crossed paths, and become freinds!  For you are a blessing in my life!  Other than that I really don't know what to say except that I'm honored to mentioned and happy to have you for a friend. One in which I thank God for!

And Passions also!  God bless you Michael, and have a very Merry Christmas!!!

Michael -
Now you've got me teary-eyed.
I'm pleased to be joining hands with
all of you here at Passion's.

Glad to be your friend
and hope the friendship grows ...
I see you've got Mikey
to keep you on your toes.

And speaking of Toes
that's one rag
you'd be happy to have
in your friendship bag.

Nothing better
than a Balladeer ...
to sing your song
and bring you cheer.

I could go on and on
but better not
lest I forget someone.

Great job, Michael.
God bless you and yours.

Gawd, you people have to stop this!

Whatever will I do with all these awesome friends?  You're going to sully the antisocial reputation I've tried SO hard to maintain ...

But seriously, Michael, I wish you and Mikey and all those you hold dear the Merriest of Christmases and the Happiest New Year ... and a hearty "Thank You" for making my season a little brighter.
