Of sorrows and morrows Like bats hunting in the night, Scouting silent in their flight. So sorrow swoops in covert dark Settling in a minds embark. Dropping the roots of sorrows sad. Blossoming in a bloom of bad. Wilting the spirits of employ, To an ennui of nought and coy. Where once was held the head of blaze Now stands in still the head of daze. Where once a spirit did uplift, Now the spirits lost its gift. In humble and in friendships flair. I would you take my hand in dare. Walk and talk with me of pardon. Before the heart does start to harden. Walk with me, the gardens of missive And we will siphon, spirits emissive. |

Talk about a poem to make you think...I read it 3 times! (That's a compliment...either that or I'm taking my time in the comprehension area. LOL) Wonderful as always, Sy. |

Seymour - I'd say it's more than a 'little flutter' ... sounds like a flock to me. Walking and talking with you, my friend. 'Listening' to what you say. Love ~Marge~ ~*The pen of the poet never runs out of ink, as long as we breathe.*~ [email protected] |
