Left alone at last my love, you holding my hand so tight. The doctor gave his final report, that I was losing this mortal fight. I feel my life slipping away; and see that truth in your eyes. You watch me with such tenderness counting all my breathless sighs. The last few months has made me glad, to leave this cancerous place. But the last thing I want to see in this life is your sweet and smiling face. With a moan I take my last breath my eyes tell you it is so and closing forever in this life I watch you let me go. |

Not knowing you I am unsure of the "I" in your work .... It is hauntingly reminiscent to me. The struggle to let go is very vibrant in your work and is very true to life. Peace How much more grievous are the consequences of anger than the causes of it. -Marcus Aurelius |

Just so you don't think I'm ill...I wrote this to show the last moments of life from a dying woman's perspective. |

You have then mastered a perspective you do not have. It is a painful but essential reminder. Thankyou |

A real tear-jerker PDV, I’m glad to hear it wasn’t for real. Another masterful piece. ( Or mistressful if there is such a word and if there isn’t there should be ) |

"I watch you let me go" That just struck me as a beautiful way to end such a beautiful, yet sad poem. It made me think so much of the battle my aunt lost to cancer. So sad, but you made me see it kind of in her perspective I guess. Thank you for the deVine. Again, beautiful... If you love something, set it free, if it comes back to you, its meant to be... |

I wrote this long ago as the man who held the hand... I can't relive when the last kiss began, So long ago… I can't release your hand, Your fingers tight, I won't let go… I could drown in eyes so blue, Like ice they melt me, Into you.. And the last dance, Goes on and on, And I am in you… And the last dance, Is the longest song, And I am in your…eyes.. Dying blue.. I am drowning in your eyes Don't save me Blue is the color of my soul, It sure looks good in you… Around the evening glows, The fusion flows, I am with you… I die for you…. to be you I…….. die………. blue Dying blue.. I am drowning in your eyes. Don't save me. Dying blue.. I am drowning in your eyes. Don't save me. |

PDV, This was so real. I just can't figure out who wrote the poem. Very well written, indeed. Liz |

Dusting off shelves in here, I found this and it reminded me of when Willow left, those were her exact words, "Now let me go." Death is such a selfish time isn't it? You did it justice Sharon. |
