Well the time has come at last, A lifelong dream fulfilled, I will meet my biological father, Be still my heart be still. Tuesday December 21st at about 8.00 am, I shall finally meet him face to face, Be held within his arms, I can think of no finer place. 32 years of mystery solved, Finding answers and so much to share, To put a face to that welcoming voice, Finally knowing he does indeed care. It's kind of childish I know, But there's still a little girl inside, Who longed to be in her real father's arms, In a place so warm, she could hide. My circle of life will be complete then, No more questions, doubts or fears, Only love and acceptance, To make up for all those years. Then new journeys will begin, Journeys of knowledge and discovery, My soul and heart now have their answers, I can think of nothing more lovely. It's the kind of girl I am, Yes I was a daddy's girl, Now I can be twice over, My heart now spins and twirls. I hope he's pleased with what he sees, Sees and likes the person I am, Hope he's proud to call me daughter, Hope he's proud of what I am. A loving lady, with loving ways, Creative and musical too, Generous and thoughtful through and through, I hope he sees all this too. I can hardly contain myself, Tuesday will be filled with many emotions too, A day that will go down in family history, A magical and memorable day through and through. So this poem is for you Dad, Welcome to my home, No more our hearts need wonder, No more they'll need to roam. What the inner voice says will NOT disappoint the hoping soul. ~Isis~ (Daughter of Mystery) |

Wow all that pent up emotion, the anxiety, the hope, the longing, the hunger was so beautifully felt through your words! I pray this is only the begining of making a lifetime of wonderful memories. |

Best wishes to you and for your meeting. It sounds like your heart has wings!? Having my father die when I was 18, I can appreciate the welcoming home of someone special. I enjoyed your poem. |

He will love you, Lisa. Have no fear. Everything will work out as it is supposed to...and your poem will touch his heart. To the world you might be just one person but to one person you might just be the world. |

Lisa:...I love it and from the other side of the coin, I understand as well...but, honesty must prevail...my fears, had I of met my daughter were the same as yours but naturally in reverse...sometimes love can give us expectations that may or may not be realised....I can only tell you this, I would be proud if you were mine! HUGS Yesterday is but today's memory and tomorrow is today's dream... |

A reunion of the blood, a reunion of the spirits, it will be a beautiful reunion for sure. Just in this poem, you have already opened your heart to him. Just in your longing to meet him, he spiritually felt the same desire, I'm sure. The love is already in place, just waiting for an embrace. Your poem is beautiful Liz |

Thanks for sharing your beautiful poem- it was very heartfelt...and made me remember to appreciate my own father! ![]() ~What if you slept? What if, in your sleep, you dreamed? And in your dream, you went to heaven and there plucked a strange and beautiful flower? And what if, when you awoke, you had that flower in your hand? Aye, what then?~ |

I am 19, and today (Christmas) was the first time in my life to ever speak to my Biological father. Im not sure why he chose for it to be this way, and maybe he didnt. Everything happens for a reason I suppose. I was over joyed to finally put a voice with the picture in my mind. So I totally understand where you are coming from! I hope all went well with you and your father! Merry Christmas! Love & Happiness Justina |
