Mothers love their children no matter what and wish them always to be happy and have small troubles solved easily I wish for you to climb the next mountain even if you are afraid, be honest to yourself especially when it hurts, be compassionate to others without letting their sorrow be your own, to make mistakes and admit them especially to you children, to forgive the thoughtlessness of others without self righteousness, to ask for help when you need it without guilt or loss of self respect, not to move so fast that you don't see the little things, to love the beauty of the land and help preserve it, to cherish a family forever and to know the most special kind of love, wife and children. Moms love their sons no matter what and I know all your troubles won’t be small or easily solved. You were a spindle legged boy tripping over cracks in the cement with run down sneakers sun drenched hair the sea in your eyes, now you are a man. I’m proud to be your mom. |
