Stage Struck Moon
~Marge Tindal~ 1999

She holds such charm as she slowly
moves across the vast stage of my night.
A performance worthy of accolades.
She bows and the curtains of night close.

The curtains of the sunny morning
open and she exits from my view.
And then I realize ...
she's doing an encore
for someone else
half a world away.

Encore !  Encore !

Severn -
Why, aren't you just
the sweetest.  Thank you.
I hope the moonbeams
reach you with
smiles across the miles.

Elizabeth, my friend -
So glad you liked it too.

Across the stage she comes again
meeting her audience with beams in the night.
She won't be around to read the reviews
when morning breaks with light.

*Thank you, my friends.
Encore finis`

Hey, this is cool, Marge! I love the metaphor in this piece.

Nail to the mast her holy flag,
Set every threadbare sail-
And give her to the god of storms,
The lightning and the gale!
