sleep cometh to me in the night, even though i try to fend it away. it creeps it's way into my soul, like a thief in the midst of day. thoughts race through my head, even as i try to understand the meaning. i feel myself giving in, slipping into obscurity. the fight is continued, i an not ready to surrender. i am drawn like a magnet, my awakeness to be conquered. why do i fight it, my spirit needs the rest. is it because i am afraid, of what i cannot see. sleep finally overcomes me, giving in, or so it seems. i should have done so, long ago, for you are in my every dream. me. |
