Gifts From The Heart ~ Marge Tindal~ 1999 'Twas the week before Christmas and all over the place, people hurried and scurried about trying to win the shopping race. What to get for Grandma? Just what would Mother need? What in the world to get a friend? I had to work with speed. Suddenly it up and hit me I declare I never knew, I'd give them words right from my heart, Why, that's what I would do. So I sat with pen in hand, the words flowed fast and free. I told them all how much I loved them and that felt good to me. I printed the words and wrapped each one, with just a holiday flair. When they opened the gift and read what I wrote, there wasn't a dry eye there. Sometimes in the busy world we forget to make the time to tell someone we love them, and it doesn't cost a dime. So if your budget's stretched, and your wallet's feeling thin, put your feelings on paper for just the cost of a pen. I guarantee your gift will be their favorite one. You will feel the love come back long before you're done. When you give the gift, wrap it with a hug and a kiss. They may squirm with the familiarity, but it's a gift they wouldn't miss. They will surely try to give you that hug back. Please take it if you're wise. Take that hug and you will see, it fits most every size. *Now isn't that a wonderful gift to give and to receive? ~*The pen of the poet never runs out of ink, as long as we breathe.*~ [email protected] |

What a grand idea. I especially like the line:"They will surely try to give you that hug back. Please take it if you're wise." Sometimes we forget that. [This message has been edited by sraet (edited 12-15-1999).] |

Marge - any words from your heart are precious for your family - including your family here. This is a great poem - and should be a direct order for all our poets! K |

What could be a better present Marge--The gift that not only comes from heart but is heart. In the dew of little things, the heart finds its morning and is refreshed. (ee cummings) |
