I’m still here, what can I say. Alone I've waited so long. Watching the days slip away. Nights spent trying to be strong. Alone I've waited so long. For them to send you home. Nights spent trying to be strong. Memories of being alone. For them to send you home. Two years not knowing when. Memories of being alone. Waiting for life to begin. Two years not knowing when. Our destiny in their hands Waiting for life to begin. Not sure that they understand. Our destiny in their hands. Watching the days slip away. Not sure that they understand. I’m still here, what can I say. With perseverance even the snail reached the Ark. |

Knowing you're still there has to help! Great poem, Lucie... and I hope your wait is over soon. |

It's so nice to read your poetry again especially knowing that he will be home in July. I'm so happy for you!!!! We know there will be a time then that we won't hear from you - you'll be too busy doing happy things! |

Lucie I've missed seeing your poetry here. This is a wonderful piece expressing your longing and the lonliness you feel. I'm happy to see that you will be reunited with your love next summer...I will say extra prayers that time flies for you! It's not the love you fear, but the fall from the height~Edwin McCain |

Beautiful piece, I could feel the anticipation of your words "Glory remains unaware of my neglected dwelling where alone I sing my tearful song which has charms only for me." -Charles Brugnot |

Lucie, take this time from now till July to do all the things you want to do before he comes home! That's what I do to help me pass the time....I'm patiently waiting for the last week in January, and I decided I'd "get in shape" for the cruise we're going on....since swimsuit season usually isn't until around May....It's coming early for me! So, I've been toning up a bit, eating better, and trying to focus on things like that instead of wearing the carpet thin by pacing! LOL I know there are things you'd like to do before he comes home....maybe practice your "dirty dancing" or the polka! ROFL Um....I won't mention anything past that since we're HERE and not in Adult! You know me !! hehe I'm so happy for you - - |

I'm in the Navy and I'm usually the one gone, but I know exactly what it's like to count the days until homecoming. Hang in there Justin |
