Christmas isn't looking so good anymore,
I don't think it shall be so merry,
I dare to hope it will be different this year,
But I afear the day will end in misery.

I dare to hope for joy,
For my beloved son,
I'll share in his joy and wonder,
But will my heart again be undone?

Last year you managed to ruin it,
This year will it be the same?
If yesterday is an example,
My Christmas will go down in flames.

I have so few joys to look foward to,
Don't take this one away,
I've worked and scrimped for months,
To put some magic in the day.

So here I offer up a little prayer,
Of hopes, dreams and good memories,
I pray it will happen this year,
For that's how Christmas is meant to be.

The more you praise and celebrate your life, the more there IS to celebrate.

This one really tugs at the heartstrings, Isis. I sincerely hope, for you and the child's sake, that things work out well. No one should destroy a child's Christmas.

I've been there, Isis, I know too well what you are speaking of. The best I can tell you is to concentrate on your child, try to downplay the disappointments and pray. Pray for the strength to rise above it. And know that you will be in my prayers. HUGS

Sharing and caring is what Christmas is all about.  I hope that your Christmas will not be ruined by anyone.  If you look around though, you can always find someone in worst shape.  Or that has been my history.  Last year I was a widow and believe you me, it was not easy.  This year I am celebrating with a new love and who would ever have guessed what a year can change in your life.  Don't give up hope.  Things will get better.  Trust in the Lord and He will set things right for you.

Shine a light and darkness disappears.

MadDavid so sorry for your loss, glad you won't be alone this year..
Way OutWalt, I will do the carols bit, and every bit possible to make the day memorable for my son.  We all have one special childhood Christmas we remember I want this to be the one for him.And it WILL be.  Me, we shall see won't we?
