How the Drumdriches Became Extinct |

Noah always obeyed the Lord, So he herded animals aboard The ark, in a long file of twos: Elephants, tapirs, gnats and gnus, Males to the left, females to the right. Because they wanted to be saved, All the beasts were well behaved, Except for the male and female drumdrich, Who squabbled over which was which, For both of them were very proud Of being equally endowed With all the parts from toe to top To be a momma or a pop. And while their argument ensued, Noah said, "May I intrude? The rule is two of every kind, As to gender, make up your mind, Decide who's who; the Lord is loath To let either of you be both." Yet each insisted it should suffice (For which they paid a heavy price). While they argued who'd go, who'd stay, Noah and the ark sailed away. |
