I Can Not Be There |

Shivers of delight rush over me, leading me out of control. I fight hard against the longing that fills my soul. The gentle ache builds into sweet pain. Inside the tears fall like rain. Hot, red and warm the blood courses through my veins, each heart beat whispers your name. The longing for your touch, is more than I can bear, yet I must... for I can not be there. Dreams awaken me in the still dark night, my empty arms ache to hold you tight. Passion whips my body, tears at my soul, I moan as the ache reaches my very core. Softly I cry, how much more can I hide? I wrestle with these emotions, till the dawn appears. Slowly I wipe away my tears. I can not be there, to another I belong. He has my body, my heart and soul you own. B Gravitt |

Ouch! A dreadful predicament that you have expressed very well, Betty. |

Betty - Absolutely raw with emotion. Riveting and lovely. ~*The pen of the poet never runs out of ink, as long as we breathe.*~ [email protected] |

How much more can we hide? How much more can we take? Waiting for the absolution... Awaiting never-coming fate. Thanks for sharing this, is always helpful to read others inner thoughts and realize we aren't alone. |
