Damned

The night bled a crimson red,
My heart, I surrendered, to burn at Salem's stake.
Ritual drums pounded at my ears,
But it drowns not the scream of my tears.

The fiery flames lept around in a trance,
Apathetic faces circled in blasphemous chants.
Whirling and prancing like dancing demons,
As if to purge my soul of Love's venom.

The rank taste of my impaled heart,
Immaculate no more, branded by a Serpent's rapier.
Now eternally doomed in Damnation's hell,
Never again to hear Eden's tolling bells.

I agree with the others.  Very dark and, if I might add, very interesting imagery.  Good work and welcome.
