Free the words entangled In the sharp night air Seer of guidance by choice. Let me touch all the wishes That have escaped With that silent breath That tries. In step and beyond confusion Brilliance confounds the day While the path forward First separates then breaks First into emotion, then desire. While somewhere gathered On time stilled water Are those twinkling lights Who chose a parallel course Undefined by the mind Romanced by the heart. It is there the passion starts. Riding in midnight dark That surrounds at twelve I choose to follow Night’s quickened gaze. And in finite, endless sleep Both find and refuse The answer. For only in the word I trust… One which cannot be spoken And is not yet written And remains Entangled in the sharp night air. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Responses: Re: In Search/ |

No doubt about the entire poem being well written but that last stanza blew me away. Wonderful writing, Soleil. To the world you might be just one person but to one person you might just be the world. |
