Purpose Sitting alone here in the dark Wondering where I am going What direction is my true north Moreover, will I know I’m there Have you ever been called things By people who don’t know you They strike speaking lashing words Things you wish you didn’t feel I’ve always longed for the good life The one that is happy and not sad What would it be like to truly laugh I can’t say, it’s hard to remember Holding on to beliefs of stoicism Holding back the fears and tears Holding in feelings of hopelessness Holding on to crumbling facades I do not like where I’ve been And I am not happy here today However, I don't buy into this Tomorrow will be a great day I seek no comfort from people I seek, only wanting to understand The passions and purposes in life That so long ago were driving me. ------------------ Courage is the price that life exacts for granting peace with yourself. --Amelia Earhart [This message has been edited by startin_fresh (edited 12-05-1999).] |

Hey - sorry this was missed! I really like this - depth and feeling. I hope your tomorrows will be better. |

I think we've walked similar paths. *S* This is great! |
