For my friend
Written for some friends who can always make me smile, laugh, cry or be angry. Usually its smiles and laughter:-)`
I thought I was alone
I thought no one cared
Then you came into my life
And changed it
You made me see I was someone special
You gave me the confidence to confront my fears.
You encouraged me and talked to me
When I needed you I could call
When my car battery died you jumped it
When my dog died, I cried on your shoulder
You made me see my fears were groundless
You accepted me as I was, w/o expecting change
For all this and more I am truly grateful
Without you I would be an empty shell
Alone in a room, cold and desolate
Or perhaps in a coffin by my own hand
So if something happens to me
Grieve for me
But do not let the grief take away any of your happiness
For you gave me something more valuable than any tangible object
You gave me your friendship
And for that, I thank you

Cuddlez - I'm so glad you have a friend who accepts you, loves you and encourages you.
Friends are the BEST of all possible choices we make in our lives.
We should all make sure we are a friend to our friend.
Hand in hand ... they share with us and us with them.
Nicely put.
And you ARE someone SPECIAL !
