Thought I'd throw out a challenge a friend of mine gave me today. Try to write something about this quote: "Poetry must be as new as foam, and as old as the rock." It's a toughy...I can't think of much for it.

Poetry must be as new as foam
As comforting as home sweet home
As timeless as a ticking clock
And still as old as aged rock.....

I just did this little ditty so I wouldn't have to move your challenge to another forum, Blondie - Remember please that this forum is exclusively for poetry..... Thanks...
