I need some Inspiration here;
There's nothing in my quill.
No novel thoughts to scribe, I fear;
My tableau's empty still.

Some fresh ideas to put in rhyme
Are what I need to find.
Could you, my friends, please take the time
To challenge my poor mind?

I'll even shove those words aside
You all complain about
Your poet's rules I shall abide
To free dactylic spout.

So if you'll share the thoughts I lack
To whet this arid pen.
Once I've my Inspiration back
Twill surely flow again...

Ok, Nan, here goes:

Write a poem with the line "It just seems to happen, but you can't quite figure how or why."

Cassandra, maybe? That's probably what I'd write about.

Nan: You've lived through rough times, how about a poem based on what is real and important and how you made it through those dark nights when you hugged your pillow but you are allowed to talk about Cassandra.. ...ok, I admit, I just want more poems about your daughter, she is so lovely!

Nan - How about No Rhyme - No Reason?
Or - No Reason - No Rhyme?

Challenge yourself - write about something really obscure. Like, I don't know, milk in a glass or the dust on a moth's back!!! Anyway - I think your above poem is fine, Nan...

(I guess I got here Justin Thyme
to help the teacher with her rhyme.
Now, not to say that I'll inspire,
but maybe I will light a fire!?)

I have a few ideas
which Just may help you write!
You may not want to use them,
but I'll tell you them, in spite!

You could write about night.
you could write about light.
you could write about life and its terrible plight.
You could write about kids.
You could write about work.
You could write about someone you think is a jerk.
You could write about music.
You could write with a flute.
You could write about NUTS and cartoons in the 'stute!
You could write about pain.
You could write about love.
You could write about God who ain't only above
because He's in your heart
and not just in the sky.
You could write about you.
You could write about I.
You could write about things that you see or you don't.
You may like what I say and then maybe you won't.

One thing that's for sure,
when you write, we'll want more...
you can write, yes you can,
So write on and Amen.

(Justin Kace you didn't know!)

With many good ideas I see
You got here Justin Thyme
She may just look no further now
You've helped Nan with her rhyme

Cassandra's there to write about
And pillows in the dark
But rhyming without reasoning
Nan cannot make that mark

I hear she's locked up in the 'stute
A painter masked bardess
I'll send in Webster and Roget
To Justin StructorNess......

......eeewwwwwwwww - That was bad...

How silly this all seems to me
To take a roll call here
Let's watch Nan paint Justin Stitute
We'll all stand by and jeer...

Those words of hers are useless there
With canvas and a brush
Let's see her put her palate where
Her verse seems not to rush

Tell us that our love is true
or tell us it's a lie
Nan, dip your quill into the ink
so all of us can sigh.
aaaaahhhhh

How many Justins are there?
Last Thyme I looked there was Just me!
You mean there's OTHER Justins?
How absurd can this fact be?

Nope, only me. I'm Justin.
One personality.
Don't ever call us psychoid!
But we're all wrapped up in me!
Those other Justin poets
are Justin Curable
imagination figments...
but I am durable!

P.S.
When doc told me he thought I had a split personality...I told him that he better not talk to us like that!
