Curled up in her armchair,
Sipping a cup of hot chocolate.
She gazed at the falling snowflakes,
and wondered what he was doing.

She thought of their fight earlier,
Their angry words she could still hear.
As tears slowly trickle down her face,
She longed to be in his embrace.

He had hurt her deeply,
With words he could never take back.
But her heart is still with him,
She wanted to forgive and forget.

But there werent any calls from him,
so she cried herself to sleep.
Hopefully when she wakes up in the morning,
she could hear the sound of the phone ringing.

..... She awoke suddenly,
to a beautiful song she knew so well.
A tear slipped down her face involuntarily,
for that was their song, music of their love.

She opened her eyes to a gentle
touch slowly wiping off her tears.
He gave her an apologetic look
and said"Merry Christmas my dear,
Could you find it in your heart to forgive me?"

No words were needed for that moment,
as their lips met in a kiss,
She had long forgiven him,
Their love for one another never did cease.

Very lovely Ayla. A nice message of hope, everyone fights - but then there is the making up part!
