I was there at your birth, And I gave you your first drink, Each day I watched you grow, and I protected you from the elements. Your bud was silk to my skin, Your petals painted by the hands of angels. I saw you wrapped in a silken vale, Made from the finest web, Which swayed in the summer breeze. It aroused my senses, so I held you in my hand, And drew you close to my lips, Your kiss pierced my skin, As it does my heart, Each time we embraced. But as summer turned to autumn, I saw you grow weaker, But my love for you Grew deeper, as I tried To hold back the seasons. As autumn drew to a close, Your head bowed down in despair, You could no longer look me in the face anymore. Your body had become naked and exposed, Now my love let me hold you in my arms, Let my warmth keep you safe. Let my tears wash away your fears You shalt not die, but live on In my heart and the memories that I have, Of the summertime we shared each day. My final gift to you is the greatest that I can give, For you to see yourself through my eyes, As you once were. As I laid you to rest in your mothers arms, In the ground where she gave birth to you, I shall remember you as a rose like no other. Goodnight my love. By Steve Price 1999 |

Welcome I got a little teary eyed here as well. ------------------ Lorene Yesterday is history, tomorrow just a mystery. And if today is good to me, it will beat the heck out of day before yesterday! |
