What eludes one at first in some strange fashion may seem obvious to a critical eye., or revealed in the depths of ones' own passion for such truths by their nature can't be denied. Jigsaw puzzles whose pieces form new patterns thus becoming much more when viewed from all sides as diverse as the stars whose constellations can be brought to the page once taken in stride. Having entered this realm imagination will determine your course, encompassing all reconnecting us to a situation where the meter discovered is likely to fall. I believe this has been a tough assignment forcing me to rethink it numerous times I've omitted adverbs, adopted meter and for bonus points even made it all rhyme. If I'm right I would like to thank the teacher, if I'm wrong I'll just have to try it again for I think that we learn extending our reach far beyond where we grasp the status quo pen. |

Dr. Moose, It's very good. You've really done something special with the meter, which is to try it on and stroll around in it for a while. Now it seems like you've honestly broken it in and made it fit you instead of making yourself try to fit it. You told me you re-read Frost and Lovebug, which I found a little confusing, since they both had such drastically different interpretations of the meter... but what you have come up with is unique and effective, bending the rules at all the right times. This is what I like to see experiments with meter do for people. My only complaint is that I would like to see something a little less metapoetic in the future. All the same, you've demonstrated your ability to do quite well with this form. Thanks for being a faithful student in a class of truants. |

Brian, Thanks once again for the slap to the ol' gray matter. I guess it's still possible to teach an ol' moose new tricks. I actually was thinking along those same lines and will post shortly in open 38 something with a few less "ohms" involved . Doc |

Dr. Moose1, In the following line, do you want a comma or a period. Sorry, but you can't have both. "may seem obvious to a critical eye.," Bobby |

Robert, sorry for the delay in replying, I didn't realize the workshop was active again. I think the comma was what I was going for. Thanks, Doc |
